Lancashire police are appealing for information after a 21 year old woman had her motorbike stolen at gunpoint in Downholland.

The incident happened at around 2.15pm on Friday 3 April when the victim, a 21 year old woman, was riding along Old Moss Lane. She was approached by two men on a yellow off road motorcycle who stopped nearby. One of the men walked towards the victim before taking what is believed to have been a silver hand gun out of his pocket and demanded the bike from the victim. He then rode off from the scene on the stolen bike, followed by the other man on the yellow motorcycle.

The man who threatened the victim is described as white, approximately 5ft 4in tall, medium build with blue eyes and short hair. At the time he was wearing a black ski mask with “North Face” written across the forehead, a black North Face jacket, black trousers and black gloves. He is believed to have spoken with a Liverpool accent.

The other man is described as white, approximately 5ft 5in tall, thin build and was also dressed in black and wearing a ski mask with “North Face” written in yellow letters across the forehead.

The victim’s motorbike has since been recovered in the Liverpool area.

DC Kate Finch of Skelmersdale Police said: “This must have been a terrifying incident for the victim and an investigation to identify the two men responsible is underway. If anybody recognises the description of either man, the yellow off road motorcycle or has any information about what happened then please do contact us.”
