Woman denies biting face of fellow Southport partygoer

Claire McCluskey denied inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent at Liverpool Crown Court, Wednesday 13 April 2016.

Claire McCluskey, 29, from Southport appeared in Crown Court facing a charge of biting a chunk out of a Kate Nield’s face at a late night party in Garstang Road in Southport, on February 26 this year.

Kate Nield, 26, required plastic surgery at Whiston Hospital to try and repair the damage.

Claire McCluskey spoke only to confirm her name and enter her pleas.

A trial has been set for August 2016.

Claire McCluskey was granted bail with the conditions not to contact Miss Nield and to live and sleep at her home address.
