WITNESS APPEAL: SERIOUS RTC – CROSBY ROAD SOUTH, SEAFORTH DOCKS AREA, SEFTON April 19th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in south Sefton this morning (Friday, April 2013). Officers were called to Crosby Road South in Seaforth, close to the entrance of the Royal Seaforth Docks, by a motorist reporting a collision between a person and a heavy goods vehicle. On arrival emergency services found a man with serious injuries. Crosby Road South was initially closed but diversions are now in place. Freeport roundabout is closed but access is being allowed to HGVs entering Seaforth docks. There is general traffic confestion in the area and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible until the congestion clears. Anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened at around 7.15am this morning, is asked to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 5444.
