Witness appeal after verbal abuse at Liverpool James Street Station

British Transport Police has released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after a member of station staff was verbally abused.

The incident occurred on Saturday, 25 April at around 9.45pm.

Investigating officer PC Paul Quest said: “A man became abusive to a member of station staff at the barriers in the booking hall after he was refused travel because he was drunk. He swung out his arm at the staff member, who had to duck to avoid contact.”

PC Quest added: “We believe the man in the CCTV images could have information that is vital to our enquiries and we urge him or anyone who recognises him to come forward.”
