Witness appeal after man seen with knife in Southport town centre 

Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Southport today.

At around 1.50pm, a man was reportedly seen in possession of a knife on Hoghton Street.

Specialist officers attended the scene and efforts are ongoing to locate the man.

No-one was assaulted or injured in the incident.
