Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash that happened in the early hours of this morning. Around 12.05am on Tuesday, October 20, officers were called to Church Road after reports of a collision between a man and a silver Mercedes outside the Co-op store. The man, a 37-year-old male from Blackpool, suffered fatal injuries in the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His identity has not yet been revealed by police. The female driver of the Mercedes was uninjured and is assisting officers. The road was closed for more than four hours while accident investigators attended.
