Whoops! Sefton Council erect another scaffolding to Southport Library unfinished project

Sefton Council are still counting the cost to complete the Atkinson Library/Theatre/Museum project despite over spending by £2 Million on the original cost of £12 Million

Sefton Council have erected a scaffold (for the third time) to the front elevation so anti-perching bird wire can be fitted on top of the building, easing and painting the windows of the Planning office as well.

OTS News.co.uk pointed this cock-up out some months ago in a news story about the pigeon droppings.

You really couldn’t believe the cock-ups that have been made during the building works – especially the main lift being fitted back to front, collapsed roof, and much much more, the list goes on.

It the real world heads would roll, but not in this case!

The extra cost on the 12 million pound three year project, much of it paid for by grants, amounts to roughly 8 per cent of the entire budgeted expenditure.

Sefton council would not comment on the matter as usual.
