Inflation has reached an all-time high so Antonia leads a revolt against the rising prices at the local supermarket. The women empty the shelves and scarper but, when the police are called in, Antonia and her friend Margherita try desperately to hide their ‘liberated’ goods before their husbands and the law catch up with them. A hilarious farce, pertinent to our current financial crisis, Not only will it show you how to survive on a diet of dog food and bird seed but it will also ensure a good night out. ‘Can’t Play, Won’t Play’ was a runaway success in London’s West End and was recently performed at the Bolton Octagon Theatre. The play runs at the Lord St West Church Hall in Duke St. on Fri Sept 13th and Sat Sept 14th at 7.30 pm with a 2.30 pm matinee on the Saturday. Admission is only £4 including refreshments.
