We Voted YES So You Pay November 12th, 2014 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments The team BID who is allegedly said to be supporting local business’s have been doing the opposite by sending DEMAND letters of £120 with a short deadline to pay. Above: Southport Bid manager Andrew Sloman spoke to OTS news earlier this month Letters have since been sent out to businesses in Southport town Centre. One local businesswoman quoted; “This is the first I have heard of it and was very shocked and upset as the letter looked to be from the council. Myself and many other business owners are very angry, as we have had no warning of this. As a business every penny counts, times are hard and making any business work is difficult these days. Does anybody know what will happen if we choose not to pay? I for one did not vote Yes!” Another local shop owner trading for some time in Southport quoted; “This is a disgrace! What is the money for exactly? Do they actually want any small business’s to survive in this town, all it is is money money money! We need to stick together as business’s and do something about this.” Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
