Silcock Leisure Donate £500+ towards Queenscourt Santa Sprint

Silcock Leisure sponsor the event every year by donating £500 plus the cost of leaflets and posters and hosting the event.

Mr Herbert Silcock said: “It’s a great event for all the family raising money for a worthwhile cause and we hope it will get bigger and better every year”

 

Hundreds of Santas take part in the annual Southport Santa Sprint

Hundreds of Santa’s will ran around the seafront to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice in the annual Southport Santa Sprint.

The sprint will started at 11am from the Carousel on the Southport Pier Forecourt and was sponsored by Silcocks.

The event as always was a magical atmosphere, Roy Ellis who was taking part said: “Either running or walking around the Pier and Promenade dressed as Santa Claus signals the start of Christmas”

The route is approximately two kilometres long and all funds raised will be going towards Queenscourt hospice.

This years event was won by 11-year-old Holly Logan(Below).
