WATCH: Another dog left to struggle in Southport

Another dog was left in a sweltering car in Southport yesterday (Tuesday 19 July 2016)

This dog was left inside a car parked in the ASDA car park yesterday afternoon.

Sheryl flint said: “The window was open but that’s not good enough in the heat!”

“Luckily a passer-by stopped – she gave it water and waited with it check it was ok”

“Well done you know who u are”

“Over Ten minutes later they came out but she doesn’t know how long it was there before she seen it”

Inspector Graham Fisher of Southport: “I would like to remind all pet owners to take extra care of animals in hot weather. Do not even leave a pet in a vehicle for a minute, in case you are called away unexpectedly. It doesn’t take long for the heat to take effect and the consequences can be catastrophic.”
