23rd February 2016

VSF are holding our next FREE heart screening at Southport College on Saturday 5th March 2016

Following on from our successful heart screening at Neston Cricket Club over in the Wirral, we are holding another FREE heart screening in the wonderful surroundings of Southport College.  After a successful funding bid application we secured the funding for this screening from Community Link Foundation.

The mission of Community Link Foundation, a Southport based charity, is to support and enhance the lives of those living in the local community and surrounding areas so they can not only be proud of where they live today but also ensure a positive future for the future generations to strengthen our local communities.

The screening will be held on Saturday 5th March 2016 from 9am to 4.30pm.

* The ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM will go LIVE on Monday 22nd February from 12 Midday and is specifically for young people aged 15-35*

As well as delivering the FREE heart screenings, we also provide FREE training and familiarisation in CPR and how to use a defibrillator.

Our online booking system for you to reserve a place at a time of your choice will go live 2 weeks prior to the screening date.

The process of having your heart screened is very quick and painless – a simple ECG which takes a few minutes.  You don’t need any special clothing or have to perform any exercise tests but should you want to know exactly what happens at a heart screening then see our post in the Activity section which tells you all about it.  There really is nothing to be afraid of!  If after reading the post you still have a few worries then just give us a call or send an email.

A bit of advice though – these places book up extremely quickly so don’t delay in booking your slot.

We look forward to seeing you there!
