Police at the scene of suspicious death in Southport
The emergency services was called to a flat on Nevill Street, Southport at around 2.30pm this afternoon after a man was found dead inside a flat, Tuesday 14 March 2017.
When officers arrived they found a deceased male in his 50s.
A witnesses told our reporter that the man was found by a family member and that he had suffered head injuries.
Police have closed off the surrounding area.
The death at this stage is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is currently underway.
