A new magazine which promotes Southport’s and Sefton’s offer to the conferencing industry has just been issued.

Southport Conference Bureau, a team of business partners led by Sefton Council’s Tourism unit, has launched the latest edition of its ‘Delegate News’.

The 12 page magazine is designed to help delegates make the most of their time in the resort and contains information on where to eat, where to stay as well as details of events and attractions delegates may wish to visit during their conference or at a later date.

The 2015 edition includes articles on the Egyptology Exhibition at The Atkinson, the recently refurbished King’s Gardens, Southport Pier and important event dates for the Southport Air Show, Flower Show and British Musical Fireworks Championship.

There is also a section which delegates will find useful during their stay in town, including a map, travel and parking information and a list of banks, taxis and even places of worship.

Delegates at the UNISON Women’s Conference held at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre are the first to receive the new magazine.

Clare Creswell, Conference Organiser said: “The magazine is an invaluable resource for our delegates making them feel comfortable and secure in a new environment.

“It really welcomes them to Southport and on many occasions encourages a return visit.”
