There was a lovely, lovely atmosphere last Wednesday in the Vic last night with many regular watchers saying it was the best night yet!

The night had a little bit of everything lots of fantastic young female artists, a Britain’s Got Talent Finalist, Miss Bunny Lane a very daring & funny drag act and of course the young and very gifted guest artist brought back to the competition by popular demand

All the night’s contestants were all amazing and they included a 5 piece band Multiearcade have just cut their first EP. The band opened the evening and were then followed by 16 year old gifted guitarist and singer Sarah Beatrice Clifford

Our first guest artist young Cole Emsley age just 11 took the show into the interval and just like last week he stole the show again performing 3 numbers. This wasn’t enough for the packed audience and so Compere Neil Newton had to ask Cole to continue giving the SGT sound engineer to have a heart attack! Once again his performance was faultless and he blew the audience receiving a standing ovation as he finished

Resident artist Dave Walker opened the second half with another polished and amusing spot before another exceptional young Liverpool singer Danni Graham began her performance. Danni has been in a number of Musicals including Annie and Her Benny and is someone else who has treaded the boards with our own Neil Newton! Danni manages a children’s home during the day but it was apparent she is a gifted artist

Last to perform was a 13 year old Rhianna look alike from Newburgh and pupil of the prestigious CD School of Music in Rufford. Gabby Ofuya has also performed in musicals has been singing since the age of 6 sang two beautiful numbers and  astounded all those present with a perfect and very confident performance.

This final act gave the nights Judges resident Catherine Whitehall of Whitehall Music tuition, Visiter Editor Andy Brown and Club rep, nightclub manager and restaurateur Sandy McKenzie a difficult choice to make and just as final guest artist of the night Drag artist Miss Bunny Lane slid down the Vic’s banister flashing her knickers in the process!

Miss Bunny aka Paul Harrison from MJ Entertainments has been performing for 26 years and has worked all over the world and treated the audience to  20 minutes of pure comedy which was a perfect end to the evening will be a certainty to perform again at another show

During this comical part of the show the Judges came to a decision awarding a Wild Card or second place to Danni Graham and giving the winning spot to 13 year old Gabby Ofuya

Congratulations to Danni and Gabby, but really all the performers were winners on the night.
