Last night the cash machine at the post office on Station Road was vandalised. The Chocolate Box had its sign taken and almost every bus stop glass window has been smashed, even as far as Kenilworth Road.

Cllr Haydn Preece quoted: “After issues in the past I got CCTV to monitor the area around the Chocolate Box and Dolce Vita. I am requesting police vigilance around the village area due to recent complaints and will look at how best to prevent repeat problems with further CCTV a consideration if felt necessary.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
