Vandals Destroy Lord Street Bandstand Southport July 26th, 2012 admin Latest News Shares Comments Vandals have destroyed parts of Lord Street Bandstand Council Officers were called to Lord Street Bandstand early this morning (Thursday 26th July 2012) following reports of broken railings and benches. They found ornamental railings scattered in and around the bandstand gardens. A council officer collected the broken cast iron pieces of railings and stacked them in a pile ready to be taken away. A local shopkeeper said: “teenagers have been using the bandstand as a playground. They connect their music amplifiers to the bandstand electric box and blast out music and annoy the general public and holiday makers night and day.
