UPDATE DRUGS RAIDS IN SEFTON November 20th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments UPDATE – DRUGS RAIDS – SEFTON Update as at 5pm on Wednesday, 20 November Merseyside Police working with the National Crime Agency executed four warrants at addresses in Sefton yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, 19 November, which resulted in one man being charged. John Parry, 46-years-old, of Lunt Road, Lunt has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A, heroin. He will appear at Sefton Magistrates court this afternoon, Wednesday, 20 November. Three others arrested, a man and two women, have since been bailed pending further enquiries. Original statement Merseyside Police has arrested four people on suspicion of drugs offences following raids this morning, Tuesday, 19 November in Sefton. Officers executed four warrants at addresses in Lunt and Bootle. A 46-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman both from the Lunt area and a 25-year-old man and 26-year-old woman from the Bootle area have been arrested on suspicion of the production of amphetamine, possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and money laundering. The arrests are the culmination of an operation targeting the supply of drugs on Merseyside. Detective Inspector Dominic Harrison, who is leading the operation said: “Today’s warrants again re-enforce our total commitment to targeting those involved in the illegal production and supply of drugs. “Drugs blight the lives of members of our communities and also fuel all sorts of other crime. I would like to take this opportunity to stress that if you are aware of drugs crime in your area let us know and we will take positive action and help you to improve your community.” Those arrested this morning have been taken to police stations where detectives will interview them.
