Update: Arrest Following The Shore Road Shooting

Merseyside Police has charged an 18-year-old man with possession with intent to supply controlled drugs and blackmail.

Jack Halewood of Rimrose Valley Road, Crosby, will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday, 28 February 2015)

UPDATE:

Merseyside Police can confirm that an 18-year-old man from Crosby has been arrested today, Friday, 27 February, on suspicion of criminal damage using a firearm after shots were fired at a house in Ainsdale on Sunday, 22 February.

He has been taken to a police station on Merseyside where he is being questioned by detectives.

Merseyside Police can confirm that shots were fired at an address in Ainsdale on Sunday, 22 February.

Officers were called to Shore Road at approximately 11pm to reports of a shot being fired at a house. No-one suffered any injuries during the incident.

A downstairs window was damaged, consistent with the use of a shotgun, in what police believe to be a targeted attack.

A full investigation into the incident is underway.
