“We managed to get in touch with UKIP Southport branch where this issue was discussed. The idea was put to local bosses and regional managers and the door closed at every step. Not deterred by this we decided we would go it alone. The chairman of the Southport branch saw what we had envisaged immediately and after some time managed to convince the other commitee members that they should support us and are now completely behind us”.

Within a week with the help of Gordon and Alan Ferguson Sean and Jeff have managed to renovate and have the premises open to the public.

“Everyone has shown massive support but it’s no good talking about voting its about convincing people to register and actually making their vote count”.
