Two weeks into the resurfacing disruption and Sefton Council finally release a statement

Motorist are advised that Sefton Council will begin carrying out resurfacing work on Lulworth Road in Southport during the week beginning 24 August.

The work will take place on Lulworth Road between Gloucester Road and the junction with Weld Road. Local diversions will be in place and some adjoining roads will be temporarily closed.

To minimise inconvenience to drivers, the work will be carried out outside peak rush hour periods and is expected to take up to two weeks to complete.
