Travellers who Set up a camp at Marine Drive car park have left after being issued with a 24-hour notice by Sefton Council
The council issued a Section 77 Direction notice under the Criminal Justice And Public Order Act 1994 to the travellers on Tuesday. Officers met with the camp marshal and served travellers notice to leave.
Around 20 of motorhomes and caravans suddenly arrived in Southport on Thursday, initially setting up camp on Preston New Road, before arriving at Marine Drive.
