A coach driver has contacted OTSnews in regard to the tactics and aggression towards coaches carrying School children.

Despite over 4,000 children visiting the town this week Southport only provide 2 coach bays on Eastbank Street, which are surrounded by aggressive traffic wardens.

Coach drivers have been subjected to harassment from the wardens.

One coach driver said:

“While doing head counts for the children’s safety the wardens have been shouting at him quite aggressively, which does not look good in front of young children.

Something has to be done about this we are only trying to do our job and do it well”.

This problem has been reported to Sefton council in hope that the matter is resolved fast, approaching what will be a busy summer in Southport.
