The emergency services were called to the traffic lights on Liverpool Road leading onto A565 Formby bypass, Wednesday 26 August.
Three cars collided at the junction.
Ambulance treated the injured at the scene.
A police investigation is currently taking place to find out the cause of the collision.
On facebook Charlotte Victoria Tuddenham said:
“This is a black spot for accidents. Residents have tried and tried to get a speed camera installed here. (Not saying in this instance that was the cause of this crash). However, these accidents are a regular occurrence here”.
