Thomas Rigby of Southport claims stabbing of Polish man was not racially motivated February 16th, 2014 admin Latest News Shares Comments Thomas Rigby of Southport claims stabbing was not racially motivated Thomas Rigby, aged 19, of Forest Road, Southport, was due to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday after pleading guilty to wounding with intent. Rigby stabbed 28-year-old Polish national, Daniel Graginsky in Part Street, Southport on 10th December 2013. Graginsky was later found with stab wounds on a Lord Street bench. ABOVE: Graginsky stabbed in Part Street, Southport Prosecutor David Polglaise said some anti Polish comments were made towards Graginsky as he was attacked but Rigby claimed the attack was not racially motivated. Rigby will appear for a Newton hearing on 21st March 2014 when he will give evidence, a judge will then decide which version to accept and Rigby will be sentenced.
