Theft of charity tin – Liverpool

We know it might be a bit blurry – but we’re hoping this CCTV will help us find a man we’d like to speak with in connection with the theft of a charity tin in Liverpool.

At about 11.20am on Thursday 23 February, a man went into the Virgin Trains office at Liverpool Lime Street. He broke the chain attached to a charity tin and hid it under his jacket, before leaving the office.

Staff had been collecting money for the local Claire House Children’s Hospice and it is believed there may have been more than £100 in the tin.

This was money going directly to help out a local charity – so if you know the man in this image, please let us know by texting 61016 or phoning 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 163 of 13/3.
