BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News Comedian comes to Stoke!

A prolific writer and comic performer, Ray Peacock is on his way to Stoke. One of the most in demand comperes, headline performers and TV warm up acts on the circuit, Ray will have them rolling in the aisles at Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club at The Regent Theatre this Saturday.

As a solo stand up performer Ray has performed on BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News. As an actor Ray’s TV credits include, No Heroics (ITV2), Doctor Who (BBC One), Skins (E4) Doctors (BBC One), Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV1), The 11 O’clock Show (Channel 4), Skin Deep (Channel 4) and Les Dawson’s Finest Hour (Channel 4).

As a highly sought after warm up act, amongst many other shows, Ray has most recently provided regular warm up for Russell Howard’s Good News, The IT Crowd, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and The Graham Norton Show.

Alongside Ed Gamble, Ray currently writes and hosts the long running The Peacock & Gamble Podcast, available on itunes, with previous series culminating in special, series finale live audience recordings.

It was as part of the highly successful Big and Daft comedy trio that Ray first came to prominence. The trio enjoyed their own BBC London radio series, three consecutive years of sell-out Edinburgh Festival shows and their own series for the BBC’s PlayUK, Terrorville. After performing in the Comedy Zone at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival Ray went on to take two solo shows to Edinburgh.

“Immaculately funny” – Time Out

“Infectious and endearing…sharply observed and exuberantly delivered, this is meandering and genial mayhem…” – The Stage

“I was chewing on my notepad to quell the laughter as it all broke down into a brilliant shambles…” – Three Weeks

Jeff Innocent headlines with a life story that resembles a film plot! There is probably no other comedian in the world whose act can be so far removed from his appearance. Looking very much like the son of a real-life East End villain (because he is) he could have chosen a career in the family firm but instead chose a MA in History & Philosophy and then stand up comedy.

Jeff is now very much part of the comedy gentry and widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s top headline acts achieving legendary status amongst his fellow comedians for staying at the absolute top of the game for over 15 years. He has stormed comedy clubs all over the world including Singapore, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Dubai, Holland, Taiwan and Japan.

Jeff’s many television credits as actor, stand-up and presenter include; Edinburgh Nights (BBC1), Gas (Ch4), I Love 1999 (BBC 1), Later with Jools Holland (BBC 2), The National Lottery Show (BBC1), The Stand Up Show (BBC 1), Take the Mike (ITV), Time Gentlemen Please (Sky), Real Eastenders (Ch4) and Brief Histories (BBC 3).

One thing’s for sure this is a consummate performer, hotly in demand and sure to have you in absolute stitches.

“It should be made law that every British Citizen must go and see Jeff Innocent. He’s that funny” Evening Standard

Sam Avery

Sam Avery, this friendly and enthusiastic scouse joke machine wanted to be a rock star and it nearly happened, but he turned to stand up and his breezy, observational style has been putting audiences instantly at ease allowing him to regale them with his tales of everyday life
