The annual KGV ‘Respect Week’ took place during January this year.

The event recognises and celebrates Equality and Diversity both within the College itself and in the wider community as a whole.

Visiting contributors from organisations such as Galloways Society for the Blind; Southport Centre for the Deaf; Sefton Young Advisers and Southport and Formby Special Athletes discussed equality issues with College students and distributed material to promote greater understanding of what goes on in the wider community. Sefton Advocacy; Hearing Dogs and two religious organisations; Grace Baptist Church and Jehovah’s Witnesses also attended.

Throughout the week, KGV students presented their projects on the ‘Respect’ theme and the overall winners were James Bradley, Kyle Gayther, Cameron Muir, Jess Stanhope & Lauren Tissot for their ‘Expect Respect’ game. College Principal Adele Wills said ‘The week was a great success- the visitors were fantastic and the standard of the students’ projects was nothing short of stunning’.
