Tesco and Sainsbury’s recall tinned products over fears they contain rubber

Supermarket chains Sainsbury’s and Tesco are recalling some of their tinned foods over fears they may contain rubber.

The tinned goods affected include beef ravioli and macaroni cheese.

Both retailers have claimed it is just a “precautionary measure” but have told customers not to eat the products, which have been manufactured in Belgium, and return them for a full refund.

Notices will be displayed in stores where the products are sold explaining to customers why the products are being recalled and telling them what actions to take if they have bought the products.
