20 Friends and colleagues are riding 63 miles this Sunday from Manchester to Blackpool in memory of a local policeman Ritchie Kettle.
Rictchie suddenly died earlier in the year leaving a wife and two young boys.
John pictured holding the T shirt said it was an emotional day but are honoured to be raising money for Christie Hospital and a trust for the two young boys for when there are older.
Lesley Kirkbride Tesco Southport community champion donated a small bag of treats to help them on the way wishing them all the very best.
