Success for Unite Martial Arts young black belts

Unite Marital Arts, are once again celebrating on their recent success at the National Dan Grading in Southampton this weekend. This event is over two days in which Taekwondo black tag and black belt students, are required to show their skills and techniques in their patterns, basic’s, self-defence, and Olympic sparring. The day its self is tough and challenging for all students taking part, face a panel of 6 Master Grades including Master Thomas 5th Degree black belt, and Technical Committee Member for British Taekwondo (National Governing Body).

Unites Dan grading team consisted of two black tag looking to achieve her black belt, and five Black belts looking to achieve their 2nd degree. All the students have gone through months of tough training physically and mentally, but with their passion for Taekwondo, and their determination to achieve their black belts paid off.

It is great achievement and congratulations to Marnie Nolan aged 10 and Megan Hutchinson aged 11 for achieving her Black belt, and congratulations to Katie Watkinson aged 14, Elliot Casserley aged 14, Luke Kennedy aged 12, Billy Tootle aged 12 and Sean Cairns aged 12 for achieving their Black Belts 2nd Dan.

Achieving any black belt isn’t an easy process. It takes time, dedication, passion, and commitment, but also requires fitness and flexibility which is gained over time. However black belt can be achievable for all ages, anyone can achieve black belt with a passion and drive for the sport, and also belief in yourself that you can succeed.
