As part of a national day of industrial action, staff who are members of the NUT, GMB, UNISON and Unite are taking strike action on Thursday 10 July 2014. The council has taken measures to ensure the continuity of services. Whilst it is anticipated there may be a reduced level of service in some areas, essential services will not be affected. The council’s contact centre will continue to operate as normal and the majority of buildings and services will be open to the public.
