STORM Consultancy to host a counter-terrorism seminar at Everyman Theatre for venue managers across the north west

North west emergency planning specialists, STORM Consultancy are to host a free a Public Venue Counter Terrorist Workshop in Liverpool later this month.

The event, designed for venue and public area managers across the whole of the region will take place at the Everyman Theatre on Friday 18th December.

The workshop will offer a comprehensive briefing on counter terrorist measures and security. Topics will include information on completing security profile reviews, tactics for dealing with a terrorist strike and information on how to disseminate counterterrorism procedures to staff through supervision and training.

Managing Director of STORM, Jonathan Cunningham, MBE, a former Army Major and acknowledged expert on counter terrorism will be chairing the day.

“The recent Paris attacks and event in London, serve to illustrate the nature of the threats we are increasingly facing. There is a need to develop a proactive approach to terrorism at all public venues in order to be fully prepared for any direct or indirect attack. The seminar will cover best practice and the latest thinking to provide vital take away information for the events and venue management sectors.”
