The regions pantomime stars will be out in force to help launch the start of the festive season in Liverpool.

On Friday 8 November, the launch of Christmas will officially take place, with a magical Lantern Parade running through the streets of Liverpool ONE and the city.

Panto stars will be ready to battle it out to entertain visitors as the Lantern Parade winds through the streets.

The talented Ray Quinn, from X Factor fame, will be joined by local co-stars Louis Emerick and Pete Price from the Empire’s ‘Peter Pan’ production on the roof of Starbucks.

Stars from further afield will also be paying Liverpool a visit with the cast from St.Helens Theatre Royal’s ‘Peter Pan’. The cast, which includes Coronation Street actor Nick Cochrane, will also be showcasing an exclusive performance from the hilarious panto production also from the roofs of Paradise Street.

Onlookers will get the chance to see further theatricals as stars from the Echo Arena’s ‘Dreaming of a Barry White Christmas’ and cast-members from the Epstein Theatre’s ‘Snow White’, including comic Chrissy Rock and TV’s Amanda Harrington, perform on the H&M balcony at Liverpool ONE.

Plus, As part of the exciting celebrations Dancing on Ice stars Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon will be donning their skates for the very first time since the pair partnered on the hit ITV show.

Over at Liverpool ONE’s Chavasse Park there will a selection of quality performers and entertainers throughout the evening. Ray Quinn will be joining the Urban Display Skaters on the ice at Liverpool ONE’s Ice Festival rink to showcase his skills following his glorious victory on ITV’s hit show, Dancing on Ice.

Liverpool ONE’s ‘Tickle the Ivories’ competition winners, GUMP, will be performing a number of songs on stage to remind crowds why they were crowned competition winners on the Radio City Community Stage.

To top off the stellar line-up of stars Harriet Jayne, winner of the 2012 ‘Voice of Merseyside’ and Liverpool ONE’s ‘Busking It Competition’, will take to the stage to perform. Harriet will also be joined by fellow talented singers Lucie Evans and Olivia Archbold who will perform as the Lantern Parade comes to an end on Chavasse park.
