Southport’s Woodvale Rally A Huge Success
The Woodvale Rally once again proved to be a big attraction with thousands of people flocking to the Victoria Park showground at the weekend.
Saturday was better for the weather when showgoers enjoyed the sunshine and the wide range of attractions including the return of the model aircraft.
Sunday saw one of the few Vulcan veteran cars in the world visit the showground. The 10hp twin cylinder model was built in Southport in 1904. Owner Howard Day from Oxford was delighted with the response from visitors.
Peter Wood, general manager, said:” It was a great weekend and lovely to see so many people enjoying the many attractions. We were so pleased to see the model aircraft return and that they will be coming again next year.”
Next year’s show will take place on the 17th and 18th June.
