Southport’s Six Time World Champion Golfer falls victim of car theft

Six time world amputee golfer George Carter’s car was from Lord Street, Southport last night (Friday 8 July 2016).

Granddaughter, Charlotte Carter (pictured above) said: “We really need everyone’s help right now – My Grandads car was stolen from Lord street!”

“It was on Lord street by the prince of Wales where he was singing and probably taken between 7:30pm-10pm this evening !”

“If anyone knows my granddad he is 85-years-old and still works as a window cleaner around Southport and Formby!”

“He needs his car to work but not only to work to keep his independence!

“This was a new car that he treated himself to, he can’t just have any car it has to be one that he can drive easily with him having only one arm!”

“It has all of his window cleaning tools in the boot of the car, things he has had for decades which don’t cost anything but hold sentimental value!”
