Southport have two matches this week away to highflying Grimsby Town tomorrow night and then at home to 23rd placed strugglers Welling who are 8 points away from safety-so the Sandgrounders could not have more contrasting opponents.
Southport travel to Grimsby Town on Tuesday night facing Paul Hurst’s squad who defeated second placed Forest Green Rovers one nil last Saturday.
