Southport toddlers make a big difference with the Big Toddle! June 13th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Local toddlers make a big difference with the Big Toddle! Pre-school children from babyballet are making a real difference by taking part in the Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2013. By doing a short sponsored walk around Lady Green Nursery, Formby on Sunday 30th July 2013 these Toddlers will be raising money for Barnardo’s ‘Early Years’ work with disadvantaged and vulnerable children in local projects throughout the UK. This includes services for children with physical and learning disabilities, autism and behavioural problems. The Big Toddle continues to be the UK’s biggest fundraising event for under 5’s! Over 300,000 children registered for the Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2012 including the local babyballet stars who toddled down Southport pier, this year the children’s charity is hoping even more will sign up for some summer fun this year, helping to raise vital funds for Barnardo’s. Miss Jennifer from babyballet Southport & Formby said ‘Last year this was such a fun event, the little ones did really well walking down the windy pier, this year the theme of the Big Toddle is Nursery rhymes and fairytales which will work wonderfully at Lady Green as it is such an enchanting venue!” You don’t have to be a member of babyballet to take part in the Big Toddle, Pre Schoolers are encouraged to bring their adult and meet at Lady Green at 11:00am where they will all do the babyballet warm up and set out on their Big Toddle, followed by juice and Story time. This should be a fun event along with raising money for such a good cause. Suggested donation of £3.00 per walker/toddler! Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
