A Southport teenager is taking part in a skydive on her 16th birthday.

On Thursday (July 23), Katrina Halsall will jump out of a plane at 15,000ft and fall to the ground at a top speed of 120mph.

Katrina is performing the dive to raise money in memory of her dad, George Halsall, who died of a heart attack in 2013.

Loving dad-of-two, George, was just 46 years old when he passed away.

Katrina said:

“I wanted to do something to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

“I am doing this in memory of my dad, because I want to, not because I have to.

“I’m so grateful for the support, so lets keep spreading the word and raise as much money as we can!”
