Southport surviving relatives of John and Anita Rimmer sought

The grandchildren of a Southport couple who emigrated to Australia over 100 years ago are eager to find any relatives still living in the resort.

Glenys Brennan is visiting Southport later this year and is asking helpful residents to come forward to try and identify any surviving relatives of John and Anita Rimmer who lived in the town around 1905 -1910.

Eagle eyed historians and amateur sleuths will be aided by the fact John Rimmer used to run  a furniture carting business based on Blackhorse lane called John Rimmer and Sons.

Gladys urged anyone who may be able to help to get in touch with OTS News before she and her husband visit in April.
