Use Your Will Power

It’s understandably easy to delay things when it comes to making your Will. There are various reasons and if you find yourself in this position then you’re not alone. Recent studies show that the North West is the least prepared with 67% of adults without a Will.

April sees the perfect opportunity for this to change. A selection of wonderful solicitors in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire are giving their time completely free of charge to join Queenscourt Hospice for ‘Make A Will Month’. This offers an easy way to protect both your loved ones and our local community.

Carolyn Gorman, Fundraising Manager here at Queenscourt said “We are delighted to have the support of so many local solicitors for this campaign.  Having a Will professionally written is such an important thing to do and the only way to make sure that your wishes are carried out after you die. Anyone taking part in Make a Will Month will enjoy the added feel-good factor of knowing they have also helped their local hospice.”

In 2016 our Solicitors raised a magnificent £19,465! This incredible amount of money helped Queenscourt to provide the highest quality of specialist care and support to our patients and their families, at a time when they need it most.

And it’s easy to join in! Simply contact one of our lovely Solicitors for an appointment between the 1st and 30th of April. The Solicitor will not charge you for their time but instead will invite you to make a donation to Queenscourt Hospice. Suggested donations are £90 for a basic single Will, £135 for a joint Will, and £40 to amend an existing Will.

The donations and support Queenscourt receives ensures that we will be here to care for generations to come. Once you have protected your loved ones, please also consider leaving a donation to your local hospice. Your gift will cost nothing today and yet make a world of difference to those we care for in the future.

Pictured here are some of the solicitors taking part in the scheme and the full list of participating companies includes Autumn Years Law, Birchall Blackburn, Breens, Brighouse Wolff, Brighouses, Cockshott Peck Lewis, Hodge Halsall, Kirwans, Mooney Everett, Napthens, Steve Davis, Whitfields and Willets & Co.
