Southport Remembrance Day Service

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.

A short service will be held at the Monument. Remembrance Day services are taking place across the borough which will be attended by the Mayor of Sefton, councillors and council officers. They will all remember those who died in conflict at services being held on Sunday, November 13.

The Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Iain Brodie-Browne, will attend a morning service at the War Memorial, Lord Street, Southport at 10.55am and an afternoon service at Holy Trinity Church, Formby at 3pm.
