Trains were stopped for about 30 minutes as British Transport Police worked together with Network Rail to locate and arrest the man. BTP Officers interviewed the man and released him at Hillside Station. The man was in a drunken state and on his way home from a funeral at a local golf club and decided to walk along the line home. He was reunited with fellow mourners at Hillside Station and placed in a taxi to be taken home. OTS News.co.uk understands the man will be charged at a later date with suspicion on trespassing on a railway line, being drunk on a railway line and obstructing a railway.
