Angela said: “Queenscourt is our local hospice, which is celebrating 25 years of supporting people in West Lancashire, Southport and Formby area. The high quality of care provided is in the hospice, the person’s own home or during hospital admissions to our local hospitals. This care comes at a cost which 2/3 is found from charitable donations”. “I work as a Community Palliative Care Nurse Specialist in the area, I’m supported by Queenscourt and I see at 1st hand the invaluable support patients and their families receive”. “This is not my 1st marathon but it’s been 6yrs since I last ran the London Marathon, I only got offered the place at the end of January so I promise to give it my all, thankfully I’ve been losing weight and getting fit recently.
