Colleagues at Mecca Southport are set to hoist the Jolly Roger and bid customers a hearty ‘ahoy mateys’, as the club launches its new pirate themed event, which takes place from 6.30pm on Saturday 6th May.

The event coincides with the release of Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. There are more than pieces of eight on offer, as one lucky bingo player will win the holiday of a lifetime – an 11 night Caribbean cruise for two worth £5,000. What’s more, the night sees the launch of Mecca Bingo’s new regular interval game, Jackpot Bay, where up to £100,000 is up for grabs, a pirate booty worthy of Jack Sparrow himself.

The usual treasure trove of cash prizes will also be on offer and each buccaneering Southport bingo player will also receive a pirate version of Mecca Bingo’s mascot, Dabber the pug.

Brian Hennigan , club manager at Mecca Southport, said: “Our new pirate night is set to elicit yo ho hos from colleagues and customers alike and there are fantastic prizes on offer. With the bingo booty including potentially massive cash prizes and a trip to the Caribbean to be won, this is a new night that mustn’t be missed.”

Pirates of the Carribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales sees the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, who battles a new ghostly enemy played by Javier Bardem. The movie sails into cinemas during the weekend that Mecca Bingo launches Jackpot Bay.
