Southport locals go bananas for monkey themed bingo evening

Bingo players from across Southport are going bananas in anticipation for Mecca’s latest themed evening filled with monkeys, madness and money.

As a certain ape bursts onto UK cinema screens this Friday, Mecca Southport will be holding their own Monkey Night event. During the evening, every customer will receive a free cuddly toy and one lucky local will be in with the chance to win £500.

A grand prize of an all-expenses paid holiday to New York will also be up for grabs and if a Southport local is lucky enough to win, they will surely be beating their chest like a gorilla in celebration.

Madison Avenue awaits the holiday winner as Mecca Southport will also offer up £500 spending money for the three night trip to The Big Apple.

The winner will be able to take in the breath-taking skyline of New York from the top of the Empire State Building. However the team at Mecca are urging the winner to take the lift and not scale the outside of the building.

Brian Hennigan, club manager at Mecca Southport, said: “A holiday to New York is certainly a unique prize and we’re hoping one of our customers is lucky enough to win!

“Not only will one of our team members be roaming the club as a gorilla, we will also be giving out free cuddly toys to everyone and at least £500 will be on offer too.”

The Mecca Monkey Night will be taking place from 7:30pm on Friday 10 March. Those not lucky enough to win a cash prize during the evening will have another chance as Mecca clubs across the country will be offering 50% of the price of Main Game bingo on Sunday.*

To attend a Mecca Club you do need to be aged 18 years or over and be a customer of Mecca Bingo. Joining is free of charge and you can sign-up at www.meccabingo.com or at the club.
