Members of Southport and Hesketh Round Table will drive four Reliant Robins more than 800 miles – in five days.

Last year, the tablers drove seven Reliant Robins around five countries in five days ; visiting France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Holland.

This time, chairman Phil Bradshaw and 10 other ‘tablers’ will rally from Southport to Cardiff to Waterford, then Dublin to Belfast and then back home.

Leaving from Ocean Plaza at 11.30am on Thursday March 3, and flanked by a support car, the team will set off for Cardiff.

Two of the vehicles had minor engine problems before setting off last year.

Friday will see the team arrive in Waterford (south-east Ireland), then Dublin by Saturday evening, Belfast on Sunday, then a ferry to Scotland and a huge 218 mile drive back to Southport on Monday (March 7)

If you’d like to meet the tablers at any point along the way, please send them a message via Facebook.

People in Southport are also encouraged to be at Ocean Plaza next Thursday, to wave the team off.
