Southport fail to secure Coca-Cola truck tour visit this Christmas

Southport will again miss out Coca-Cola’s  massive annual Christmas truck attraction over the festive period.

Resident Garry Burgess said: “I am not surprised at all. Coco-Cola have more than likely heard of the over-zealous, officious bonus-chasing and target-lead parking enforcement teams and the extortionate parking prices”.

On a more positive note Southport’s Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Lord Street on Saturday 19th November.

The Southport BID is hosting a switch on with live music, all hosted by out of town radio station Smooth Radio FM despite Southport having three stations, Mighty Radio, Coast Radio, Sandgrounder.

“Coca-Cola is synonymous with the Christmas season and it’s no secret that our much-loved Christmas Truck Tour marks the unofficial countdown to Christmas,” said Aedamar Howlett, marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain. “We can’t wait to reveal this year’s route and start spreading holiday cheer across the UK.”

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour finishes on 23rd December. Meanwhile, look out for our ‘Holidays are Coming’ advert on TV this November, along with our new ad ‘A Coke for Christmas’, which airs the following month.
