Southport College latest parent survey results 2012 November 29th, 2012 admin Latest News Shares Comments Southport College’s latest parent survey results are now being put to use. Every year Southport College surveys parents of students to seek their views and help improve the College. Parents are asked a variety of questions about aspects of their son or daughter”s time at college. The feedback we receive is extremely valuable and has resulted in some innovations and improvements to the College. Following the latest survey feedback we have identified parents would like additional communication from the College. As a result we are launching a brand new college newsletter in January 2013. This year we also received a huge amount of praise from parents. “Very satisfied, all staff are approachable, friendly and professional. My daughter is enjoying her experience at Southport College, is learning well and has matured immensely. As in any working environment where there are a great deal of people mistakes happen, but from my daughter”s feedback to me she is happy with the way Southport College rectify things, quickly and professionally. I am also happy with the way they include outside agencies etc into her coursework.” (Performing Arts) “Very pleased with Southport College, my son who started in September 2011 is already talking about going to uni after talking with his 1-1 tutor – fantastic support and encouragement!!! My daughter who”s in her second year at a different college tells me the vast difference in the colleges. Both children (sorry – young adults) are doing BTECs. My son has two whole days off; my daughter has to attend the other college everyday with four and a half [hour] gaps between lessons. Well done, Southport College!” (Building Services Engineering) “My son came to Southport College following his GCSE results and deciding not to return to Sixth Form at his previous secondary school. He came to Southport College, a very young 16 year old and has now developed into a mature, well rounded young man who now has two part-time jobs and is looking at an apprenticeship with a large manufacturing company.” (Engineering) “I have experienced everything I was looking for in furthering my daughter’s education. She has grown and matured since she started her course. I hope both my daughter”s learning and experience continues to grow. I would have no problems recommending the College. She is enjoying her time at Southport College.” (Sport) “I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their positive and extremely supportive encouragement of my son. The Games Design team have motivated my son to work hard and given him confidence through constructive praise. As a result he has matured and continues to grow in confidence as my son was previously timid and discourage in high school, this is wonderful.” (Games Design) “A fantastic college, course and tutors. My daughter has grown and continues to grow with the wonderful advice, care and support provided by all the tutors on her course. Saying thank you will never be enough but thank you!!! My daughter is looking forward to level 3.” (Beauty Therapy) But don’t just take their word for it, our next Open Evening is Tuesday 5 February 2013.
