Southport assistant manager quits after five games

Southport FC has announced on their twitter page that assistant manager Craig Madden has left the club after only five games.

It says: “After discussions with manager Andy Bishop, Craig Madden has left his position as Southport assistant manager’

Southport FC also added: “We would like to thank Craig for all his work at the club and wish him the best for the future.”

Southport lie 22nd in the National League, having only picked up one win in their five games – with four defeats.

The port take on Tranmere Rovers on Saturday at home this Saturday before a trip to Forest Green on Bank Holiday Monday.
